Victoria’s Secret Bras Cause Rashes & Hives – Could Result in Class Action Lawsuit

Many of these women have been loyal Victoria’s Secret customers for 20+ years. Victoria’s Secret is well known to provide high quality women’s lingerie products, including bras, at a premium price.

This potential class action lawsuit against Victoria’s Secret was prompted after a woman’s lawyer in Ohio had her recently purchased Victoria’s Secret bras tested scientifically in a laboratory, which revealed positive traces of formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a critical ingredient in the production of hundreds of items that improve everyday life. However, little or no formaldehyde should be present in the final product.

In a statement sent to ABC News, Victoria’s Secret said it is investigating all of the complaints but will continue to stand behind its products as not containing formaldehyde in any of its bras or other undergarments.

The purpose of any class action lawsuit is to give the common man or woman the ability to take on the largest corporate or private entities, who can obivously afford the very best legal services, and have a chance of redressing the wrong done by these entities. It is important to remember that even though the actual damage or cost to the individual class member may be small, the illicit gain to the corporate entity can be huge if done to hundreds or even hundreds of thousands of class members.

Have You Worn a Padded Bra on a Date?

Women face critical decisions every day, from which low-fat yoghurt to buy to how to let the guy at work know you’re interested without seeming desperate.

But there’s one conundrum women rarely discuss: whether or not to wear a padded bra.

When I was 15 I suffered the public ignominy of making the wrong decision. At Bondi Beach with Ben Piper, the best looking boy in Year 10, my dream date came unstuck the moment we entered the water. Surfacing from the first wave, we noticed half a dozen handkerchiefs floating about.

The source of the hankies was my bikini: preoccupied with looking voluptuous, I forgot I’d packed my bikini top with my mother’s lace heirlooms. And now those little white patches of shame surrounded me. Ben was speechless. The date was over.

While no sane woman would build up her bosom with square bits of material, the incident highlights the problem with padded bras: they’re fine as long as you never have to take them off.

Consider this scenario: you’ve been seeing a guy for a few weeks, wearing outfits replete with generous-looking cup-sizes. Tonight’s the night he’ll stay over. The moment arrives for you to reveal yourself for the first time: but what happens when your full curves are revealed as modest mounds? Can you be accused of misrepresentation? (Of course, if the guy accuses you of false advertising, explain you were angling for commercial advantage. Then kick him out).

When it comes to lingerie, your options are stark but simple: face the truth about your size and shop around for a flattering cut; or wear a padded bra and insist on keeping it on, come rain, hail or shine, until you’re certain he’s fallen in love with you – and save the hankies for the tears of joy.

How to Stop Sweating Through a Bra

Sweating is a natural body function, however why do some people sweat more than others? Sweating is necessary, its purpose is to control and maintain our body temperature. Sweating is normal and completely necessary. Sweat, which is also called perspiration, is a secretion of fluids that is composed mostly of water. In this particular case you are sweating excessively in one area of your body.

The first question is why does this happen? Why do I sweat more here rather than in different areas of my body? To clarify the medical term for extreme sweating is called “hyperhidrosis” or what is more commonly known as excessive sweating.

The nervous system which is controlled by the brain makes a decision where and how much to sweat, this is different for different people. Each of us can sweat excessively in different areas of our bodies for example hands, feet, or back etc. This is also true for those who do not suffer from excessive sweating. So when you sweat in one location over another it occurs because this is a more effective sweating gland for you.

Basically here is what happens when excessive sweating occurs. The Sympathetic Nervous System goes into overdrive. It is not completely understood or known what exactly causes excessive sweating. With that said there are a few indicators.

It has been noted that people sweat less at night, exercise is highly recommended for people with “hyperhidrosis” for less sweating afterwards. Other factors that can lead to excessive sweating are smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee, having too much salt in your diet, and to top it off eating too many sweets. All of the above can increase sweating. Now for the shocker, a healthy diet can actually reduce sweating.

The reduction in sweating by avoiding the above happens because you reduce the stimulus to your nervous system, hence keeping your muscles and mind relaxed so your body feels that it doesn’t need to sweat due to an overactive nervous system. The reality is this. You can implement different techniques to stop excessive sweating. However remember there is no one method that fits all.

Breastfeeding For The Working Mother: How To Increase Your Bra Cup Size 3 Sizes

I breastfed my daughter for four years and increased my cup size by three sizes; even five years later, my are still this large. I really don’t think that this is the best reason to breastfeed, but it DID make a catchy title for this article. As an immunologist, I’d read that breastfeeding protected babies from diseases by transferring some immune molecules from the mother to the child. I had also learned in my psychology class about the monkey studies that showed how important touch was to a baby. For these reasons as well, I agreed with many experts that breastfeeding was the right choice for my child.

Breastfeeding Benefits

After having my daughter, I soon learned the benefits of sleeping with her and breastfeeding; it allowed me to get almost normal amounts of sleep and allowed me to get her to sleep without crying. I will say that after four years I really did get tired of the whole thing, but the benefit of that seemed to be that my body naturally weaned her without trauma. One day the milk just stopped flowing and there were no tears on either side. My mother did not feed me, so I was a little worried what it would be like for my daughter to breastfeed so long that she remembered it. So far she seems to only have fond memories of the experience. I also got out of jury duty for many years, so that was a surprise benefit for me as well.

Breastfeeding Equipment

Although I did not work out of an office at the time I was breastfeeding, I did use a pump on occasion to “pump and dump” or to increase milk production. I went through three pumps, each time spending more money and finding that they were more comfortable, faster, and more efficient. If I had to do it over, I would start with the most expensive one I could buy, preferably a used high-end pump if that was all I could afford.

Breastfeeding and Work

Some people have claimed that the push towards breastfeeding in many parts of the US is just a hidden way to keep women at home again. As a feminist, I can see why people may think this, but I do not agree that it has to be the case. I do believe that it is best to have a parent or close reliable relative with a baby, but even if that is not psychologically or financially a possibility the mother can still breastfeed and work with the aid of a good pump. Many states now are implementing laws that require work places to be pump friendly, so as this trend increases, as I believe it will, working and breastfeeding will be even easier for women.

Jeans and Their Evolution: From Factories to Fashion

Everyone has a pair of jeans. It could be that favorite pair you’ve had forever, or a brand new pair you just bought with Sunday newspaper coupons. But everyone has jeans they wear and love. They’re comfortable, durable, and follow fashion trends as closely as women’s shoes. Many offices now even allow jeans as part of their work wear, something that would have been unheard of when jeans began to be popular. In fact, during the 1950s, some restaurants and movie theaters refused to admit customers wearing jeans.

Jeans weren’t always as fashionable as they are today. In fact, they were originally used as sturdy trousers worn by men and women in factories during World War II. In the 1950s, however, teenagers began wearing jeans as a form of rebellion against conformity, and by the 1970s, jeans were a staple of fashion wardrobes. They’re available throughout the world, but typically, jeans are considered a part of American culture, like baseball and apple pie.

One of the major changes that has occurred in the jean industry is the change from standard trouser-style jeans worn by men and women prior to the 1950s. In the beginning, if you wanted to break in your jeans, you had to do it the old fashioned way, which either involved wearing them frequently for a long time, or dragging them on concrete and washing them frequently to make them look more worn.

The introduction of bell bottom jeans, for example, proved that jeans could be as much a fashion statement as a durable pair of pants. Now styles range from skin tight to large and baggy, available in every color imaginable. You can get jeans with embroidery, patches, rhinestones, or even brand new jeans that look as though they’ve been worn for twenty years. There are designers who specialize in jeans (besides Levi and Wranglers).

These changes have come thanks to the advances in clothing production. Jeans can be mass produced, and with the different machines and denim fabrics available, the only limit to jeans is the designers’ imagination! In fact, the customer can become the designer, as well. You can take your favorite pair of jeans and customize them to your liking. Add embellishments, turn them into shorts, or grab some fabric pens and draw all over the fabric to turn them into a piece of art.

Because of the variety of jeans that are available, they can offer a professional looking alternative to dress pants in the office, particularly for women. There are even some dark washed jeans that can be mistaken for black dress pants! And since they are so popular, and can be more professional looking, offices are becoming more welcoming of jeans around the office, even if it isn’t “casual Friday.”

As far as jeans have come in almost seventy years, who knows what they’ll look like seventy, fifty, or even twenty years from now? It could be that, as fashion develops, the jeans people wear years from now won’t be recognized by the population as what we know as “jeans.” For all we know, the evolution of jeans will continue, and they’ll become the more formal wear, leaving “dress pants” hanging in boutiques and closets in favor of pants that started as simply sturdy work pants for factory workers.

Plus Sizes: Just the Right Bra

Most women plus sizes are noticeable with their big bust. For some it’s something that they can be proud of, while for others it’s something that makes them feel uncomfortable. This is especially true if they receive jeering from the opposite gender or if their girl friends think that it looks more of a subject of comic rather than an asset. When you are in plus sizes that belong to the latter category of girls with big bust, you need to do something about the insecurity that is befalling you. The solution? Choose the right bra that fits right and makes an appearance of a bust that is proportionate to your whole body.

Although there are clothes that have a remarkable effect to hide or emphasize your bust, you can actually deal with it by simply wearing the right bra and still get the freedom of wearing anything that makes you feel comfortable under the sun. The bra should fit right so it will make you feel comfortable despite what you wear outside; whether you’re wearing tight tops or loose ones.

One of the best bras that gives you ultimate support and still de-emphasize your chest is the sports bra. This is a popular support for plus sizes women because it fits right, goes with any shape and form of any bust and movement of users and still provides ultimate comfort. If not sports bra, you can choose any bra that has the same satisfying effect and they are definitely available in plus sizes lingerie stores.

My Mom Took Me Bra Shopping!

My family’s schedule during Christmas usually consists of sitting in traffic on the way to the mall, standing in lines, and
fighting with mobs of disgruntled shoppers in efforts to purchase that “perfect” present. I know, I love it too!
Unfortunately, my generation has been cursed with the gift of the internet and we do our shopping from a computer at home. We always
get the shaft.

It’s hard to explain, but I have this extraordinary talent for finding that perfect gift. I guess it all started when I was born.
I was too young to remember, but my parents love telling the story. They were in college-studying, learning, probably protesting
something-when my mom went to the doctor and found out she was pregnant. You wouldn’t believe how surprised my dad was when she
told him! She gave him such a great gift-me! He responded with something like, “Oh perfect!” and “This is just what we
need right now.” Anyway, I guess my talent comes from the fact that I was the perfect gift.

But enough about me, let’s get back to Christmas. A new baseball hat and jersey for my younger brother-Timmy really loves those
Yankees. A year’s subscription to National Geographic for my sister Suzy-maybe she would find a boyfriend if her nose wasn’t
always buried in a book. A gift certificate for a massage for Mom-I think her back’s been hurting her from carrying all that
laundry. And for my dad (drum roll please)-a bra! Ok, ok, I know what you’re thinking – “He’s so crazy!” – But hear me out.

My dad likes cars. Actually, scratch that. My dad LOVES cars. My mom is always saying that his Corvette is his mistress and he would
sleep with it too if the bed were big enough. He takes it to car shows, rally meet-ups, and the track. But last time I was driving
with him, we turned onto a street that was under construction and he almost had a heart attack. Now let me tell you, the second he
started rolling down the street and those pebbles started splashing up onto his front end, he started letting out words that I
hadn’t heard since that time I tried to see if his new laptop floated – it didn’t.

I shared the gift idea with my Mom and she thought it was swell. And as much as I wanted to spend time in lines, traffic, and crowded
stores, my mom thought we should check out car bras online first. It turned out that we found an awesome automotive accessory site
that had a huge selection of car bras, free shipping, and great customer service to answer all of our questions. Man, this internet
is taking all the fun out of holiday shopping.
